In this episode of Flourish-Meant, host Tina Yeager sits down with special guest Jenny Leavitt to explore the gripping topic of surviving grief. Jenny, a pastor's wife, award-winning author, speaker, and coach, shares her personal, clerical, and professional experience with grief, as she delves into her mission to help others find hope and healing after losing her 17-year-old son in a tragic accident.

Throughout the episode, Tina and Jenny discuss practical tips and counsel for those suffering from grief and those who aim to support individuals navigating this difficult terrain. From addressing loneliness and the importance of community to navigating the complexities of grief within a marriage, Jenny provides insight and wisdom that offers a beacon of hope for those in the midst of their own grief journey. Tune in to gain valuable resources and guidance on how to navigate the multifaceted landscape of grief survival and find the support you need to flourish even in the face of loss.

Jenny Leavitt has been in ministry leadership roles with her husband for almost 30 years. However, their lives changed dramatically when they experienced a tragic accident that took the life of their 17-year-old son, Jacob, and left their older son, Caleb, with catastrophic injuries. It took Caleb nearly a year to fully recover, but during that time, the Leavitts struggled to find biblically sound resources to help them through their grief. Thankfully, they found mentors, counselors, and grief groups that provided the support they needed. Through this difficult journey, Jenny and her husband have found a renewed passion for helping others navigate the challenges of grief and loss.

In the episode, Jenny and our host, Tina Yeager, delved into various aspects of coping with grief, including the importance of finding trusted sources of support, the challenge of navigating loneliness, and the impact of grief on relationships, especially in marriage. Jenny offered valuable insights into surviving grief and practical advice for both those experiencing grief and those seeking to support others through their journey.

We want to thank Jenny for candidly sharing her heart, experience, and wisdom with our Flourish-Meant community, and we hope this episode proves to be a beacon of hope and healing for anyone struggling with grief.
